We are blessed here at Collegiate Curls to have some of the most amazing student leaders on the face of the earth! Along with being a wonderful Vice President Tamazha doubles as the National Vice President for all of the Collegiate Curls sectors! Get to know her better below!
1. Tell us a little about yourself!
My name is Tamazha Pilson. I was born in Richmond, VA but I call Greenville, SC my home. I am a senior at The College and will be receiving my degree in Public Health. After graduation, I plan on continuing my education and getting my Masters in Non-profit Management and hope to spend some of my professional career in non-profit work. I am also planning on starting my own business when the time is right.

2. What attracted you to College of Charleston?
The College of Charleston caught my attention in many ways (one of them being the beach). I loved that the campus was right in the middle of downtown and I saw so much room for growth and the opportunity to gain experiences that I may have never gotten in a smaller town.

3. What do you do as National VP?
As the National Vice-President of Collegiate Curls, I head up all new sector application processing, help plan and facilitate events, offer support wherever I’m needed within the College of Charleston sector, and most importantly- HAVE FUN! This position allows me to network with curlies not only in Charleston but around the world!
4. What do you find most rewarding being in a leadership position within Collegiate Curls Nationals?
The most rewarding thing about holding a leadership position with the organization is being able to meet so many vibrant individuals who have similar experiences, passions, and goals for our community.

5. What is one piece of advice you would like to give young black females as they journey through college?
My advice for young, black females on their college journey is: do what makes you happy and put yourself (including your mental health) at the top of your priority list!
6. Any final words of wisdom for our readers?
No matter the situation.....Be your best self!
