Taliah Waajid has continued to blow the natural world away with their hit after hit hair collections. With deep roots stretching back to the 1980s, this brand helped fuel the natural hair industry in its earliest stages and continues to do so. It is no wonder Taliah Waajid has become a household name for curlfriends all around the nation.
I myself had heard so many raving reviews about this brand, yet I still found myself to be a Taliah Waajid virgin. That is until last week, when I tried out the brand's "Curls, Waves, & Naturals" and "Protective Styles" collections. My only expression for these products was, "Why did I wait so long to try this!?"
The "Curls, Waves, & Naturals" collection includes a diverse range of 17 products ranging from co-wash to hairline help. I personally used the The Great Detangler and the Curly Curl Creme. The "Protective Styles" line carries products infused with natural elements such as bamboo, peppermint and avocado. I used the Growth Oil and Restoring Serum from this line (all items pictured below).

I did a wash and go with these products. After washing and conditioning my hair with some of my usual products, I sectioned my hair in about eight section (this is a very loose approximation, I don't use precision in my hair routine). I applied each of the products in their respective order from left to right as pictured above. The sample sizes do not have much within in them so I probably used about a quarter sized amount on each section if not a little more (again this is not an exact science). Below I have uploaded a photo of my hair freshly clean, without products and the final look with all the products applied.

As you can see, there is a major difference in the curl definition. Once my hair dried, it did not feel weighed down or sticky with product residue. I did not need to add any additional products or gel to my hair to avoid frizz. I absolutely loved the the way my hair looked and felt. The Growth Oil and Restoring Serum gave a slight tingling sensation from the peppermint oil, which is believed to increase blood circulation resulting in stimulated hair growth and a reduction of hair loss.
Soon after I applied the products I twisted my hair in medium sized twist, maybe 23 or more twist total, which I wore throughout the night and the following day. When I took the twist out my curls were still fully in tact, just a little stretched out.

It has been almost a week since I first applied the product and my curls are still poppin', even in the protective, last minute hairstyles that we all resort to right before wash-day. I give these products a 5 star rating.
Taliah Waajid, you have made a believer out of me and it was definitely worth the wait!
