BOBBY IS YOUR FRIEND

We tend to hide our bobby pins in our hair, but who knew it would be a trend to expose them? The exposed bobby pin hairstyle has been used to create a number of beautifully intricate and creative looks. It can turn a simple style to a more elaborate style:

What helps this style to work is by using large sized gold or silver bobby pins. To create this look, you can create unique designs by criss-crossing and experimenting with different ways you can position the pins.

For me, I am able to express my edginess through my hair: implementing my favorite gold bobby pins in a way many do not. I was first inspired by Evelyn Lozada from Basketball Wives, simply turning a twist out to a “Glam Out”.

Whenever I feel my outfit or hair need some glam I follow these steps:
1. Gather 4-6 bobby pins
2. Push a section of hair upward
3. Pin at least 2-3 bobby pins parallel from each other
4. With bobby pin number 3 or 4 criss-cross and express your individual style
